Normandy Holiday Home

In the marina complex there is a bar, 2 restaurants, a fresh produce market (July & August), a bakery and a train station with links to Paris (in season).

The adjoining beaches (3 mins walk) are clean and safe and supervised by life guards. There are the usual beach activities including Sand yachting, volleyball, sailing and numerous organised children’s clubs with activities for those 2 – 16 years old.

The medieval market town of Dives sur Mer is only 10 mins walk to the centre. There are fine restaurants, the market hall and the medieval old town to explore.

The holiday seaside town of Cabourg is a pleasant 20 mins walk along the sandy beaches. Cabourg has a casino, restaurants, swimming pool, cinema and daily market with local produce.

Slightly further afield there are the chic “Paris sur Mer” towns of Deauville and Trouville which are the local centre for horse racing and selling; the artist's favourite pretty fishing village of Honfleur; the D Day landing beaches, and the Bayeaux tapestry are all just along the coast. There is William the Conqueror's castle at Falaise, the local cheese (Camembert, Pont L’Eveque and Livarot) and cider making farms, the Basilica at Lisieux and home of Ste Theresa (the second most popular place of pilgrimage in France after Lourds), Monet's house and garden at Giverny, the national Stud farm and Disneyland in Paris are just some of the many places of interest easily accessible from Port Guillaume.

For those more active there are plenty of local golf courses, horse riding and walking/biking in the surrounding countryside and plenty of water sports and volleyball available on the adjoining beaches.
